Ethiopia finalizes preparations for hosting 14th AU summit
APA-Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) Ethiopia said on Thursday that preparations have been finalized for the 14th African Union (AU) Summit and the 16th ordinary session of the Executive Council, both of which are being held in Addis Ababa, the AU headquarters.
The Chief Coordinator of the 14th African Union Summit, Dr Dibaba Abdetta said that African heads of state and government as well as ministers and participants and guests from Europe, Asia, South and North America will arrive here to take part in the session. According to the state media, Dr. Dibaba said more than 4,000 participants including representatives of international organizations and journalists will attend the meeting in Addis Ababa where other parallel sessions will also be held parallel with the AU summit.
Dr. Dibaba said standard hotels and transportation facilities are readily available for the delegates.
Addis Ababa, seat to many other international organizations hosts annually the AU summit since the organization’s inception in 1963.
